Our History

Creation of SOCOMEP- 1990
It was in 1990, at a time when the industrial tuna fishery was experiencing rapid growth in Seychelles, that Mr Jacquelin Lablache founded the Societe de Controle d’expertise Maritime et Peche. Back then, the main activity of  SOCOMEP was to inspect the quantity and quality of tuna landed in Seychelles on behalf of a French fishing company.
